The third edition
The Circuit returned to The Robo Lounge for an evening of visual art, live creation, music, and real conversation.
Artists, collaborators, and guests moved through an experience built around expression, shared perspective, and connection. Paintings and photography lived beside an interactive canvas, allowing the room to do more than observe the work.
It became part of it.
Art in Motion
Five distinct practices brought the evening to life, each creating a different way into the room and into the work.
Painter · Founder of Koukatelier
Kouka is a Haitian multidisciplinary artist based in Ottawa, exploring womanhood, identity, and culture through oil, acrylic, and digital work.
Through Koukatelier, her creative studio, she treats art as a form of therapy. Her Rebirth Collection celebrates self-love in a world that has long dictated women's roles, beauty, and worth.
For Art in Motion, she brought paintings that asked the room to slow down, look closer, and feel what was underneath.
Photographer
Michel Grandin is a photographer who chases range over routine. Portraits, editorial, street, and studio. He shoots widely, driven by curiosity and by the challenge of work he has not done before.
His practice is intuitive and patient, letting authentic moments reveal themselves rather than chasing them. The result is minimalist composition and clean, timeless visuals.
He is part of a new generation of Ottawa image-makers learning their language in public, exactly where Art in Motion believes they belong.
Photographic Artist
Yu-Sheng Chiu is a photographic artist born in Chiayi City, Taiwan, now based in Ottawa. Her work explores solitude, oral history, and the shifting definitions of femininity through the lens of her experience as a Taiwanese woman navigating geopolitical and psychological terrain.
Represented by Wall Space Gallery, her work has been shown at the Ottawa Art Gallery, Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, and CONTACT Photography Festival, and featured by CBC Arts and VSCO.

For Art in Motion, she brought photographs that carry the weight of inheritance: quiet, considered, and unafraid of where they come from.
Curator · Visual Artist
Aurélie Kadjo is an Ivorian visual artist and curator building spaces where stories meet, and where overlooked voices are seen with the weight they deserve.
She co-curated Pour Your Art at the Ottawa Art Gallery, and curated Ananse Ntontan: Threads of Legacy, exploring identity, heritage, and the stories we transform through art.
For Art in Motion, she brought the same conviction: great art does not need permission to be seen. It needs a room that honors it.
Painter · Founder of opncnvs
A four-time Art Battle National Champion, Allan André transforms live painting into immersive community experiences. His work has reached galleries and walls across North America. His most recent project is something different: opncnvs.
opncnvs is a philosophy of creation without gatekeeping. No official-artist requirement. No skill ceiling. Just people, canvas, and the freedom to create together.
On June 11, Allan brought that concept to life through an interactive canvas, a moment where guests were not watching art happen. They were part of it.
